How to Separate Audio from a Video

You can detach the audio from any video clip in the Editor, edit it independently, and recover it if you change your mind.

There are two ways to do it:

Select the video you want to separate the audio from and Click 'Separate Audio' in the sidebar

Once separated, the audio track appears as its own layer. Click it to edit it from the sidebar.

Right-click on the video clip in the timeline and choose Separate Audio.

If you want to re-attach the audio, select the video clip you removed the audio from and click Recover in the sidebar or right-click and choose Recover.
